  | Along with cool, clear autumn weather, I always look forward to September because of Maine's iconic Common Ground Country Fair (celebrating its 50th year!). As part of the festivities, I will be joining Jud Caswell, Nat Hussey, and Alfred Lund for a Friday performance on the Amphitheater Stage in a decades-old collaboration that Nat has
recently christened "The Firefly Brothers"! Take a peek at some video clips from a couple of our previous shows at the fair. I am hugely looking forward to this event since these guys are not just dear old friends, but some of the greatest musicians I've ever played with. I've known and worked with Jud since around 1996 and Nat & Alfred soon after. They've all contributed to my recordings and each have multiple albums and impressive performing cred of their own. The saying "the group is greater than the sum of its parts" could not be more fitting for this project, since each of us bring our individual compositions to the ensemble for infusion of musical magic and shimmer only possible through nearly 30 years of close friendship and musical collaboration. DON'T MISS THIS SHOW!!!! We'll also be providing some entertainment (in a configuration TBD, billed as "Jud Caswell and Company") the following day at the Maine Needham Festival. Details for both shows are listed below, and I'll keep this page updated with new gig & other info as soon as they materialize. As always, if you'd like to host a Bill Gawley show please contact me for booking... Don't let the promise of bananas suck you in... (watch my newest video- you'll understand!). Hope to see you all soon! Bill |
