has always been one of my favorite months, indelibly associated
with fireflies, lemon merangue pie, and long warm summer evenings. My
favorite musical July tradition has been participating in "songwriters in the round" performances with Jud Caswell, Nat Hussey, and Maik Bo. We've been doing these shows whenever possible for close to 30 years and will kick the 2026 tour off at the June Bug Cafe
on Matinicus Island- part of a house (or more accurately barn) concert series presented by Nat, primarily for the benefit of the island residents. We'll also do a mainland performance at Cadenza, a great listening room in Freeport on 7/19. Looking ahead to September, Jud, Nat, Alfred Lund, and I (Nat has recently christened this ad hoc group as "The Firefly Brothers"!) will be appearing at the Common Ground Country Fair on Friday afternoon. This is another decades-old tradition that I am hugely looking forward to!!! I'll add updates and details (along with any other new gigs) as soon as they materialize.
